Mesa Clean is a residential upholstery cleaning start-up. They deliver professional and personalized cleaning services with a focus on the residential environment. “Keep upholstery clean with Mesa. We have the equipment and the solutions necessary to get rid of stains, dust, germs, and unpleasant odors, in the shortest time and with complete safety!”

Brand Identity Logo Design
PROJECT GOAL
Create a robust identity to support Mesa’s ambition for expansion & develop clear guides for the brand visuals
Logo Design
I worked with Andrei, Mesa’s person of contact, and we explored the impact, constraints, and competitive advantages of the business. The insights help me research and implement strategic solutions that link with the business goals.
After we mapped the project's key objectives, we started to work on Mesa’s brand DNA. We identified the brand attributes as Comfort, Efficiency & Convenience.
The challenge was to design a shape that fits the current services offered by Mesa but also leave room for its long-term business growth plan. I chose to not represent the vacuum cleaner ( their main equipment now ) but instead incorporate a universal & general clean symbol that allows them to diversify their services without compromising their visual identity.
Imagining an identity that embodies the brand values.
We decided it was best to work with natural and typical cleaning-associated colors that make the brand touchpoints approachable and highlight the idea of comfort and convenience.
The typefaces of the brand are Syne, chosen for its unique characters that serves as a headline font, and Manrope, a clean & legible modern sans-serif font family.
Visual Element & Design Applications
The concept for the visual elements of the brand was developed as a functional, adaptive, and versatile shape. It creates a system that allows for endless shape variations that reinforce the brand idea while adapting to the environment.
The brand guides ensure the brand touchpoints consistency and they communicate the correct brand representation. They define the framework for the visual communication.
